To The Land That I will show you

The evening of January 26th, I was reading the story of God calling Abraham. I'm falling behind in my reading plan so I've been in the mindset of quickly reading and jotting down a God-shot and a couple verses in my journal, relying mostly on previous meditations of Genesis. I cling to our 5-6 time here at the ranch, it's a one hour break, from 5-6pm, between work-pro and dinner where we go to our dorms and reset for the evening. Some of the girls will take showers, others will nap, some do both. This particular evening, I was rushing to get a few chapters. Genesis 12:1 (CSB) "Now the LORD said to Abram, 'Go from your land, your relatives, and your father's house to the land that I will show you.'" I put a note in my bible "CER 1/15/24."

Life at the ranch is very structured. The students and interns have the same schedule everyday. Our job as interns and staff is to hold the students to the structure. The best way to do this is to be within structure ourselves. Leading by example and staying above reproach is the majority of my "job." People have been asking me how I'm feeling about the ranch and my answer is honestly, I don't know yet. I'm processing each day. While there is consistency with day to day life, the Lord gives a different task each day. The command "pray without ceasing" has become my mantra.

I have three roommates: two students (16 and 18) and another intern, Bethany. One of the students is from Idaho and we are able to bond over the mountains. The other student likes to remind me how I'm the oldest intern there and how "yes, 27 is old." I guess I have officially entered my old-lady era. Bethany is really organized and punctual which is the perfect balance I need. She has been a blessing to me so far with having lots of spiritual conversations and her prayer life.

Since I've been here, two students have graduated highschool, one has been prayed out (sent back home with blessing and exhortation), two new students have joined the ranch, and one student has been suspended, and one more new student joining us mid-February. I feel honored to witness all of it. I thank the Lord for his generosity to allow me to be a part of this work. The girls are getting ready for our igloo trip. We leave next Friday for the Sierra Nevada's to spend three days and two nights in the snow, most of the students are not excited. With two male interns leaving in the next two weeks and three new students this month, the dynamics of the ranch are changing and we are entering into a new season. I'm excited to see how he will work.
Staff and interns keep asking me how long I will stay here. The Lord has not revealed how long I am to stay here, but I feel confident that this is where he wants me to be now. He sustains me each day to say "yes." The Lord has asked me to be present in this season and to not fret about the future so I am resting on that word.

Thank you to all of you who have and continue to support me financially, and even more, those who are praying diligently for me. I am overwhelmed by how God has shown his love and generosity to me through the church. I can't wait to share more with you.
Answered prayers:
strong spiritual community
chances to see my local friends
financial support
access to transportation
peace and calmness
Things to continue to pray for:
the armor of God and perseverance of the saints (the spiritual warfare is crazy here)
a car
that the three new students would settle in well
that the Lord would call two new interns to come to the ranch
against demonic night-mares
the Lord's healing would be upon the student who is suspended
Praying daily! Thanks for the specifics. It's great to see the pictures🥰
